Samsung Galaxy s4 I9500 is the latest smartphone which was added by Samsung recently in the Galaxy series. Galaxy s4 is a great smartphone with a lot of exciting features check Samsung Galaxy S4 Top 5 Features Overtakes Samsung Galaxy S3. The importance of rooting your SGS4 is you can stretch the limits of this smartphone by rooting it so that you can enjoy the maximum performance and also the ability to use custom ROM’s on your samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500. Today I am going to tell you the rooting procedure of Galaxy S4 GT-i9500 model. So, let’s start the tutorial.
If anything goes wrong, then you can end up with negative results as well. So if you are newbie in rooting work, then better to stay away from it. We shall not be responsible for any damage that occurs to you or your device.
- Take the backup of important data including SMS, Call Logs before starting with the process.
- Plug-in the charger and charge your Android’s battery up to 80 percent mark at least.
- Enable USB Debugging Mode on your Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 by Navigate to Settings > Development > USB Debugging.
Steps to Root Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500
First of all turn your Galaxy s4 off and turn it on by holding Volume Down + Menu + Power button for at least 5 seconds.
When you see a warning on your home screen release all the buttons and once again press the Volume UP Button. You will enter into download mode now.
Connect your Galaxy s4 with computer using a USB cable.
Now you need to download the CWM Recovery Samsung Galaxy s4 smartphone from available resource. The clockwork recovery Mod is at present available for Sprint SPH-L720, GT-i9500, T-Mobile SGH-M919 models.
You will also need to download the USB drivers, ODIN and SuperSU files.
Extract all the files from the ODIN folder and run the application. Now if you are seeing a yellow colored box you are ready to begin the process. If you are not seeing any box filled with yellow color you first need to install the USB drivers and then again connect your phone with computer.
Now choose PDA and browse for the downloaded CWM recovery file you downloaded before. Now click Start so that you can begin the flashing of CWM Recovery.
When you see a “PASS” notification it means that you have successfully flashed the CWM Recovery.
No Restart your phone and copy the SuperSU files in your SD card.
Once you have copied all the files turn off your Galaxy s4 and turn it on by holding Volume UP + Menu + Power buttons. When you will see a Samsung Logo on your screen leave the Power button.
Now select “Install from SD card” and press Power Button.
Once you have selected the file using “choose zip from SD card” press the Power button.
Now choose directory named “0/” and again press the Power button.
Browse the SuperSU file which you transferred into your SD card in the 8th step.
Navigate to Yes using the Volume buttons and for confirmation press Power.
This will install the Super user app on your Galaxy S4 or we can say that your phone is rooted now.
Now navigate to the main menu and select “Reboot system now” and press Power button to confirm.
Your phone will restart and you will see the Super User App on your home screen.
Open the superuser app and update it to get the latest binaries.
